Basseterre, St. Kitts – The TDC Insurance Company Limited on St. Kitts has made a corporate donation to the Silence No More Organisation, a non-profit dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence issues affecting men, women, and children.

The heartfelt contribution of five (5) gift baskets filled with a variety of household, personal care products and school supplies were presented to honour of the memory of family members, who tragically lost their lives to domestic violence against women.

Ms. Atisha Byron, Operations Manager, in handing over the baskets to the Ms. Petra McSheen, the Organization’s President, spoke of what the outreach means to the company and its impact.

“The work of the Silence No More Organization aligns with our values and mission to make a positive impact in the community we serve. This corporate gesture allows us to more than ‘give back’. Through your organization, we are showing you we truly care.”

In response, Ms. Petra McSheen, expressed gratitude to company for the generous contribution and its worth.

“These gifts mean a lot to us and to the beneficiaries. It is a symbol of hope and encouragement, and for that we are very grateful.”

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, September 11, 2023 – Ms. Hope L. Merchant of Gingerland, Nevis is the second winner in the St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla Trading and Development Company Limited (TDC) $50K Mega Raffle.

The longstanding TDC shopper was presented with her winnings at the official presentation on Friday, September 8, 2023, at the TDC Home and Building Depot at Pinney’s Industrial Estate, by Mr. Colin Freeman, the General Manager, who expressed his satisfaction that Ms. Merchant, a Nevisian, emerged the winner from amongst some 28,000 entries.

“This win will impact our sales tremendously, I am sure. It is good to see that the Nevisian public has a chance of winning up to $50,000.00. TDC has significant patronage in Nevis. In fact, Ms. Merchant bought her first vehicle, a Mitsubishi Lancer, from TDC.”

Ms. Merchant took the opportunity to emphasize that it was not luck in winning, but a blessing and encouraged others to purchase their goods at TDC.

“Come to TDC and shop; nice people are here. They will take care of you; they will take care of me. This raffle alone is taking care of their customers,” says the elated winner.

In speaking about the success of the five-month campaign, Mr. Kashka Thompson, TDC Client Relations and Marketing Manager highlighted the fact that the raffle has catapulted sales, through cash or hire purchase.

“Since the handing over of the cheque to our first winner, there has been an overwhelming response from our customers who all want to win,” said Thompson.

He noted, “TDC expects to see sales increase even more as the company continues to give back to its patrons. The TDC Home and Building Depots are celebrating their 20th Anniversary, and all TDC Mega Reward Members will receive a 20% discount on their purchases, while non-members will receive 10% from September 11th thru 30th 2023.”

The promotional offer gives patrons who are not yet TDC Mega Reward Members, another opportunity to sign up at any retail store or scan the sign-up QR codes on raffle posters, digital media or by accessing the link https://bit.ly/TDCMegaRewards to qualify for a chance at winning EC$10,000.

Basseterre, St. Kitts – With the start of the new school year just around the corner, the St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla Trading and Development Company Limited (TDC) has partnered with the St. Christopher and Nevis Social Security Board to refurbish two classrooms at the Cotton Thomas Comprehensive School.

By way of donation, TDC contributed face basins with faucets and traps valued at just over three thousand dollars to support the ongoing renovation efforts, which began on Monday 28 August 2023.

In speaking about the collaboration, Ms. Charlene Bowry, the Social Security Board’s Senior Human Resource Manager and Project Coordinator shared her enthusiasm about the public and private sector venture and the role it plays in the advancement of education.

We are delighted that TDC agreed and accepted to support this essential venture to enhance the facilities at the comprehensive school. This speaks to the shared vision This speaks to the shared vision for fostering education by enhancing the existing school environment to make it more conducive for the students to learn and for the teachers who give instructions at the school,” expressed Ms. Bowry.

Mr. Kashka Thompson, TDC Client Relations and Marketing Manager, stated why the company endorsed the initiative.

The community engagement project is being by done the Health and Wellness Committee of the Social Security Board, as part of its forty-fifth anniversary activities and is expected to be completed by Friday 1st September 2023.
