Basseterre, St. Kitts – The TDC Insurance Company Limited on St. Kitts has made a corporate donation to the Silence No More Organisation, a non-profit dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence issues affecting men, women, and children.

The heartfelt contribution of five (5) gift baskets filled with a variety of household, personal care products and school supplies were presented to honour of the memory of family members, who tragically lost their lives to domestic violence against women.

Ms. Atisha Byron, Operations Manager, in handing over the baskets to the Ms. Petra McSheen, the Organization’s President, spoke of what the outreach means to the company and its impact.

“The work of the Silence No More Organization aligns with our values and mission to make a positive impact in the community we serve. This corporate gesture allows us to more than ‘give back’. Through your organization, we are showing you we truly care.”

In response, Ms. Petra McSheen, expressed gratitude to company for the generous contribution and its worth.

Job Summary: The Network, System and Cloud Support Specialist will be responsible for supporting and maintaining network technologies, server architecture, backup and storage technologies, and cloud-based solutions. This involves working under the direction of the Network, System and Cloud Administrator to implement networking and systems infrastructure that meet business requirements.

Main Duties

– Installing and configuring server and network hardware and software, including operating systems and applications

– Ensuring event-log warning and errors are monitored and tracked effectively, and actioned

– Monitoring the performance of servers and networks, including identifying and resolving performance issues

– Maintaining the file server, sharing and permissions management

– Maintaining the print server, group policies, active directory, and security groups

– Providing technical support for network and system-related projects

– Maintaining and troubleshooting servers, including hardware, software, and network components

– Supporting the migration of applications and data to hosted (cloud) environments

– Responsible for optimizing the performance of servers and cloud-based solutions, including identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks

– Ensuring routine backups are conducted and documented, errors are addressed, and runs are rescheduled accordingly

– Troubleshooting technical issues, including hardware and software problems, and providing solutions to resolve them

Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience

– Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or related field

– A combination of the following, or related certifications would be an asset: CompTIA Server+, CCNA, MCSA, Linux+, AWS CP, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, VMWare Certified Professional, RHCSA, Fortinet and/or Cisco and Juniper certifications

– 5+ years’ experience in server and network administration

– 3+ years’ experience leading a team

– A passion for customer service, efficiency, effectiveness, precision, and quality

– Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, September 11, 2023 – Ms. Hope L. Merchant of Gingerland, Nevis is the second winner in the St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla Trading and Development Company Limited (TDC) $50K Mega Raffle.

The longstanding TDC shopper was presented with her winnings at the official presentation on Friday, September 8, 2023, at the TDC Home and Building Depot at Pinney’s Industrial Estate, by Mr. Colin Freeman, the General Manager, who expressed his satisfaction that Ms. Merchant, a Nevisian, emerged the winner from amongst some 28,000 entries.

“This win will impact our sales tremendously, I am sure. It is good to see that the Nevisian public has a chance of winning up to $50,000.00. TDC has significant patronage in Nevis. In fact, Ms. Merchant bought her first vehicle, a Mitsubishi Lancer, from TDC.”

Ms. Merchant took the opportunity to emphasize that it was not luck in winning, but a blessing and encouraged others to purchase their goods at TDC.
