The 2025 Track and Field season is in full swing, and the St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla Trading and Development Company Limited (TDC) continued its commitment to youth athletics, as the proud sponsor of Joycelyn Liburd Primary School (JLPS) Falcons.

The Falcons, dressed in purple and their new athletic gear took to the track to represent the pride of Gingerland, on Wednesday 2nd April 2025, in the Bank of Nevis International (BONI) and Gulf Insurance Nevis Primary Schools’ Track and Field Championships.

According to Mr. Ernie France, TDC Nevis Managing Director, “We are thrilled to once again support the Joycelyn Liburd Primary School Track Team in their pursuit of track and field excellence. Our sponsorship, valued at over five thousand dollars, reflects our ongoing pledge to nurturing young talent, promoting physical fitness, and fostering a strong sense of community pride. We believe that through this partnership, the students will not only excel on the track but also develop important life skills that will serve them well beyond the competition.”

Principal of Joycelyn Liburd Primary School (JLPS), Mrs. Akela Brand, expressed her gratitude to TDC for their generous support: “We are deeply appreciative of TDC’s sponsorship, which will significantly enhance the resources available to our athletes. This gesture not only motivates our students to do their best but also highlights the importance of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, values that are vital in both sports and in life.”

The Joycelyn Liburd Primary School (JLPS), a beacon of educational excellence on Nevis, has produced some of Nevis’ outstanding young athletes over the years. With TDC’s backing, the school’s track team is poised to build upon this legacy and continue making an impact in the world of youth athletics.

Basseterre, St. Kitts – Following the news of the return of the 4 H Aquatic Sports to the national calendar of cultural activities, the TDC Group of Companies readily accepted the invitation to give its full support as a corporate partner of the annual Easter Monday event.

 At a brief presentation ceremony at the company’s Head Office on Thursday 7th April 2023, Mr. Winston ‘Zack’ Nisbett, Event Chairman/Coordinator, accepted a wide variety of merchandise that would be presented to the winners of the respective events, on Monday 10th April 2023.

 In accepting the kind gesture from Ms. Deija King, the Junior Accounts Clerk in the Accounts Department, Mr. Nisbett expressed his profound appreciation for the contribution that would help to ensure that this year’s event is a success. 

“I want to say thank you to TDC for your donation.  TDC has been a supporter of this event for many, many, years. This donation goes a long way, and this shows that TDC believes in what we are doing and more importantly, cultural preservation. We really appreciated you,” said an elated Nisbett.

 Mr. Dominic Matthew, Marketing Assistant in the Client Relations and Marketing Department who was also present stated, “It is our pleasure to continue what has become a tradition to partner with the Organizing Committee to keep this event going year after year. We, at TDC, understand its value and the role it plays in our community. We wish you every success.”                                                                                                                                                       

Staying true to its mission statement, “to contribute meaningfully to the cultural advancement of our Nation”, several other organisations and events continue to receive TDCs backing, including the St. Christopher National Trust, History and Heritage Week Committee, the St. Kitts Music Festival, National Carnival, the Nevis Artisan Village, and Culturama.

As the preparations continue for the staging of the sixty-first annual 4 H Aquatic Sports Meet on Easter Monday, the TDC Group of Companies has once again pledged its support to ensure that this year’s event is a success.

In a brief presentation ceremony held at the company’s head office on Wednesday 17th April, Mr. Winston ‘Zack’ Nisbett, the Event Coordinator, was presented with a variety gifts and tokens, which will be presented to the respective winners in this year’s competition.

According to Mr. Nisbett, “TDC’s contribution is very much appreciated.  In fact, TDC has become one of our longstanding partners over the years, and for that we are very grateful.  Thank You.”

He further added, “having TDC on board shows that they understand the value of preserving our culture and giving back to the community in a meaningful way.”

As part of its corporate social responsibility agenda, TDC continues to support several programmes that further promote historical and cultural preservation across several communities in St. Kitts and Nevis.

Some of these include the History and Heritage Week, The St. Christopher National Trust Heroes Day Excursion, the Nevis Artisan Village, and Culturama.
