Responsibilities

– Supervises staff managing the HR related matters for the Departments

Compensation

– Reviews compensation structures and makes recommendations for improvement

Employer-Employee Relations

– Manages the complaints and grievances handling process

Qualification and Experience

– Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, Psychology, and or related fields. Master’s Degree is a plus.

– Experience: The Human Resources Officer should have at least 7 years relevant experience as an HR Generalist, HR Specialist or Supervisor of an HR Unit

– Professional qualification: PHR; SPHR; CIPD encouraged to be attained within the first two (2) years of employment

The Recoveries Manager will be responsible for overseeing the recovery processes within the organization, ensuring effective management of outstanding debts and enhancing recovery rates by ensuring debts are recovered.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

– Ensure policies and procedures are reviewed and implemented by the Department

– Ensure an aggressive follow-up is done on all delinquent loans to ensure they return to order in the shortest possible time frame

– Ensure annual loan review is completed as per ECCB Prudential guidelines

– Ensure arrears are maintained within the agreed targets and new provisions and write-offs are minimal

– Ensure all matters pertaining to classified debts are handled, which includes meeting with the customers, contacting them by phone or letter, etc. to discuss their account. Ensure file notes are prepared after every interaction with the customer

– Work closely with the corporate attorneys on all matters relating to delinquent accounts as well as classified debts

– Ensure the Early Warning Account status (EWA) is assigned to all accounts where applicable

– Maintain a master list of Early Warning Accounts and prepare relevant reports

– Prepare the Quarterly Early Warning Account report and submit to the General Manager for review

– Prepare required request forms to classify accounts in arrears over ninety (90) days for approval by the General Manager

– Prepare and submit Classified Debt reports quarterly to the General Manager

– Prepare and submit monthly delinquency reports to the General Manager

– Prepare the required Request for Write Off report for submission to the General Manager in respect of accounts identified to be written off

– Prepare a write off loan list that is within the statute of limitations with an action plan for recoveries

– Issue the Standard Letter of Instructions to Professional Valuers to prepare valuations for properties charged to TDC Financial Services Company Limited. Upon receipt, ensure it is addressed to TDC Financial Services Company Limited and compare its contents with the Letter of Instructions

– If needed, review the appraisals received from Appraisers to ensure its contents are in line with the Letter of Instructions and the Real Estate Valuation Policy when appraisals for clients are requested by the Credit Department

– Ensure a Caution List is prepared and updated at least quarterly and circulated accordingly to the relevant departments

– Prepare Annual Appraisal Reports for the respective officers within the department and submit same to the General Manager for review

– Submit a summary report on Department performance. This should include:

– the number of classified debt and movement in on non-performing loans percentage

– the number of delinquent loans under ninety (90) days

– the number of accounts in early warning

– the number of monthly loans write offs and total number of loan write offs within the statute of limitations

– the progress of the annual loan review

– the number of loans at the Solicitors

– Any Department challenges

– Any other duties that may be assigned
