For the sixth consecutive year, the TDC Home and Building Depots are giving local farmers the opportunity to get deep discounts on a wide variety of inputs, such as agricultural supplies, seeds, fertilizer, pesticides, and equipment.

The month-long sales activity dubbed, Farmers’ Month also includes an in-store demonstration by the company’s very own ‘Green Gardener’ who will be on hand to teach patrons the best ways to get their gardens started, while offering simple, useful, and practical tips for better crop or ornamental production.

The support also extends beyond the walls of the retail outlets, where sales associates from the TDC Agro Divisions have been visiting and interacting with farmers to strengthen existing relationships and discover ways by which the companies can better meet and serve their needs.

On Saturday 17th March 2018, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., a mini marketplace will be open to the general public, as well as, customers/clients who wish to purchase their fresh farm produce and plants at both locations, in St. Kitts and Nevis, from members of the farming fraternity.

This year social media was not left out of the annual offering.  A Best Garden online competition has also been launched and is open to Kittitians and Nevisians, who wish to showcase the growth of their respective gardens from start to finish.  To enter, simply send high-resolution photos to the TDC Group Facebook or Instagram accounts until May 31st, 2018, for a chance to win $250.00 worth of lawn and garden products.

The Farmers’ Month initiative was first introduced in 2012. It is specifically designed to show appreciation to bona fide farmers, along with persons involved in Agriculture with heavy emphasis on education, food security, and import substitution.
