TDC is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Shipping Clerk at the TDC Shipping Department, C.A. Paul Southwell Industrial Site, Basseterre, St. Kitts.
Job Summary
The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for providing frontline customer service to clients of the TDC Shipping Department, including performing cashier duties and giving support as necessary to other areas of the department.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assisting with the clearance and operations of all cargo vessels that are handled by the Shipping Department
• Preparing invoices for cargo shipments received
• Data entry and manifest updates using ASYCUDA for cargo shipments received
• Clearing cargo for TDC Airbox
• Assisting with the coordinating of cargo movements
Qualification and Experience
• At minimum, five (5) CXC/GCE subject passes including English, Mathematics and Accounts or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Requirements
• Strong customer service skills
• Computer Literate
• Ability to work with and analyze figures (including rates, percentages, discounts, and volumes)
• Excellent communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work in teams
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Maintain a professional demeanor
